Labor Day in Telluride is always a great weekend for celebrity sightings, but this weekend was especially flush with stars because of the Bush-Lauren wedding at the Ralph Lauren ranch in Ridgway. George Clooney was still able to upstage George Bush (the former president attended the wedding, not the film festival) and was joined by Jennifer Garner, Tilda Swinton and Glenn Close in our mountain town. Clooney charmed everyone in town, and even lifted the photo ban as he rubbed elbows with the locals.
Clooney’s Descendants was one of the films that generated a lot of buzz this weekend. Other titles that garnered attention were Swinton’s We Need to Talk About Kevin, Director Werner Herzog’s Into the Abyss, Director David Cronenberg’s A Dangerous Method and Joseph Cedar’s Footnote.
